SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

In the past days and months, we have been monitoring the current COVID-19 situation closely and following the up-to-date information from our government and health officials. It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform you that we have to cancel the WFDYS Junior Camp which was going to be held in Karnataka, India in 2022. It was not an easy decision to make but the health and safety of our camp organising committee members, leaders, participants and volunteers remain our top priority. Your understanding and patience is greatly appreciated. Due to the missed opportunity to host and run the camp, our Youth Ordinary Member, The Youth Association of the Deaf (India) – YADI wishes to bid for the next Junior Camp again and will submit our camp bid application for the upcoming WFDYS Youth General Assembly.
Thank you all for your support. We hope we will see you in South Korea.
Thank you,
COC team.

Explore Your Hidden Talents

The 7th WFDYS Junior Camp offers deaf junior campers a platform to meet and network with peers from different countries and experience their unique cultures against the backdrop of the exceptional natural beauty of India. The theme of the 7th WFDYS Junior Camp is Explore Your Hidden Talent which aims to emphasize and strengthen the persona of each deaf junior camper.

The camp provides an opportunity for young deaf juniors to gain inspiration from deaf role models who have had the determination and grit to overcome the many challenges in life and achieve their goals.

The various activities of the camp encourage the junior deaf campers to introspect within themselves and to realize their positive traits, potentials, strengths and weaknesses.

And help discover ways to overcome challenges to make a positive impact in their personal lives and in society in general.
